Tango.info performance name
Introduction
A tango.info performance name is a name provided by tango.info instead of a track name. The latter is also often called track title.
The performance can differ from the tango.info work name.
The performance name is:
- the name found on the first publication, if known to tango.info.
- this may often be an 78 rpm label
- else - the name on the publication known to tango.info believed to be the oldest
If the performance name is unknown a set of names can be provided if for the related work alternative names are listed. The names are concatenated with " | ". The first name is the primary work name.

Transformations
Case
The name found at source if in upper case is changed to case per the orthography normally used for that language.
- If name starts with a letter, this letter is upper case
- Other letters are lower case, except for proper names and
- nouns in German
Diacritics
When case is changed and accents have not been present, then accents are added.
