Small Group workshops met Korey

Numbers are kept to a maximun of 12 people for that close intimate feel. Working with technique and feeling of the dance. With more 1-2-1 time from the teacher, its that much more personalised. You will be given things to work on an individual level as well as a theme for the group. Giving you a chance to ask questions and get to grips with the material. Numbers are restricted 8-12 people. There will be a practica after the workshops so you can stay and dance, practice those new wonderful things you have just learnt. Musicians workshops

THE START of Utrechts Community Tango Orquestra! We are looking to create more live music that gows along side dancers. To create music that we can have fun dancing to and enjoy playing. Do you play an Instrument? Have you ever played for an audience? This is a wonderful opportunity to find out how important the musicians are to dancers. You can play and tease the dancers while exploring this beautiful dynamic music from Argentina!

Working with musicians to learn 3-4 pieces of tango music. The number depends on the level of the musicians. You will learn enough to play then in the evening for Gitanas verjaarsdag feestje! Meer infomatie?

Don't worry we are a very friendly crowd, its so wonderful to have live music!

Pre Salon workshop

Korey has a great way of teaching that can invite simple things in the beginning, leading quickly to things that are of advanced level by the end. There is something in it for everyone. Incorporating technique and feeling for the movement in hand. No doubt some littl surprise or light bulb moment with this guy!

This workshop is for Half Gevorderd+ dancers.

BBQ

Come together with friends and dancers for a BBQ between the workshops. Taking place in the courtyard behind the room we use for the workshops and salon. its very convenient. None dancing friends and family are really welcome! Lets come together, share food and relax.

Please bring your own BBQ equiptment and food. BBQ's are available from any of the Supermarkets for approx. €3. We will provide salad and something sweet. It would be great if you could get in touch if you intend to come so i can make enough sweet things for everyone.

Beginners Workshop

Een introductie in de mooie wereld van Argentijnse dans en cultuur. Met plezier, improvisatie en spel laat zij je kennis maken met de tango en het samen met een partner over een dansvloer bewegen. Verken het leiden en volgen in relatie tot de basisstappen van de Argentijnse tango.

De workshops zijn afzonderlijk te volgen, maar gaan elke keer met een ander aspect van de basis aan de slag. Daardoor zijn ze ook heel goed als een serie te volgen.

Kom vooral op Zaterdag voor de workshop ook kijken bij de BBQ & Milonga, om nog meer tango te ervaren.

Entree voor workshopdeelnemers is 4 euro ipv 8 euro. We hebben 'live muziek', performance en zeker dansen op deze avond.

Milonga Gitana

'Traditonal milonga with a twist'

This is the first in our new season of Milongas on the first Saturday of the month. Please check agenda for specific dates. With quality DJ, lekker hapjes, performance and live music from the just forming Community Tango Orquestra.

There will also be opportunities for private lessons with Korey during his stay. This is a great way to get over that question that has been at the back of your mind, or exploring a new movement you have always loved.

Prijs: €40 per hour Private Lesson slots: Vrijdag 2 Sept: 15:00 - 18:00, Zaterdag 3 Sept: 10:00 - 12:00, Zondag 4 Sept: 10:00 -13:00

Verloting:

For Gitanas birthday we have a verlotting for 4 entree cards that allow the holder to enter free to Gitana Events for a year! If you would like to enter please send us an email with you Name, place where you live, email and phone so we can get in touch with you. Also if you can add 'Gitana verlotting in the subject line this would be great.

If you know of people who would like to be included spread the word. Gitanas having a Party, everyone is welcome in the verlotting.

• The year ticket doesn't include workshops that go along side the milonga. We also reserve the right to stop the milonga at any moment.
