Barricade

barricade: Usually a male, the barricade is the person who stops on the floor, during a milonga, to give instruction to their partner. The barricade can be identified by outstretched arms and open legs (making themselves big and impassable). And talking over the music so that everyone in the room can know how awful the criticized partner is. Letting everyone know to avoid them.

It might seem that the barricade is trying to shield a hole in the floor that their partner would like to crawl into to avoid the humiliation.
