We are pleased to have Solange Chapperon & Gonzalo Orihuela + Gaia Pisauro & Leandro Furlan guiding and joining us in this year’s Tango Odyssey to Slatine, two teacher/ dance couples of the “young” tango generation, who complement each other marvelously as a team. This year’s workshop focus will again lie on a well coordinated mixture from basic technique, combinations and improvisation. The uniqueness of this vacation lies in the extensive course offers, which promise a week of intensive learning. The groups will be divided Wednesday afternoon (as arranged with the participants); each group will receive four days of instruction, four hours each day, totaling eight hours with each instructing couple. An additional intention is to keep the structure flexible; so that it may also be possible to arrange some of the instruction units as “experimental sessions,” possibly also for both groups to enjoy together, so that we can try out ideas together. Moreover, Solange & Gonzalo would be happy to offer special workshops on the topic of tango theatre, in which the principles of choreography and stage work would be presented. Gaia & Leandro have likewise offered the idea of special courses on “Neo Tango” topics. In order to prevent the week from flying by too quickly, we have taken care to include valuable free time. Slatine is an authentic and picturesque fishing village, directly on the Adriatic Sea. There are many enticing possibilities for arranging the leisure hours, for example—bathing in the turquoise-colored water, or exploring the sites of interest on the island. In the evenings we will dance together in some of the most spectacular places to be found in Europe: in the old city quarter of Split and in Trogir.

16 hours of tango instruction in small groups (Beginner to Intermediate + Advanced) for 229 Euro. Limited number of participants: 32 in two groups of 16. 7 Nights accommodation + 7 Milongas + Airport shuttle + Foreign accident insurance for 189 Euro.
Extra (All prices are marked as “approximate”, due to the fact that come June there may be small adjustments in the offers provided.) Date extensions for overnight accommodations are problem free: cost pro person pro night approx. 20 €. Boat passages to and from the open-air Milongas in Trogir and Split (approx. 2-3-times): discounted rate of approx. 7 € per person. We will host 2-3 Barbecue-Milongas (fish BBQ, house-made meal, local wine, dessert): approx. 11 € per person (to be computed). It is possible to book a breakfast buffet (included beverages: coffee, tea and juice) for approx. 5 € per person. The legally specified cure tax per person and night amounts to approx. 50 cent.
