- 5.-6. Mai Traditional and Nuevo style Tango Elements and Yoga Sharna Fabiano & Isaac Oboka (Washington, DC)
and Brad Crews (Moskau)
Sharna and Isaac will teach what they have discovered in combining traditional and nuevo style tango elements, creating contrast between the precise, geometric vocabulary of traditional tango and the flowing, open shapes of the nuevo style of today. As a complimentary discipline, yoga instructor Brad Crews will teach yoga exercises that assist with the body mechanics and muscle groups that are used in the tango. Specifically, we will address the twist of the upper and lower body used by both leader and follower in turns, ochos, sacadas, and many other elements. You will learn yoga asanas that open the hips and increase flexibility in the joints to improve tango walking technique, and identify your center of gravity through proper alignment. This will be essential training for the new vocabulary of off-axis elements, which challenges the balance and control of the tango embrace. All three instructors teach together throughout all workshops.

All Levels: ab ca. 3 Monaten Tanzerfahrung. Intermediate: ab ca. 1 Jahr Tanzerfahrung. Advanced: ab ca. 2 Jahren Tanzerfahrung.
Preise: 1 WS 23€ (ermäßigt 20€). Bei der Buchung von 2 WS 10%, 3 WS 15%, 4 WS 20% Ermäßigung.

Marina Marques y Giggio Giovanni (Sao Paulo/BsAs) Laboratorien Mittwochs (09.05 bis 20.06) von 21-23 Uhr
Vom 9. Mai bis zum 20. Juni geben Marina y Giggio wieder Laboratorien im Nou! Die beiden jungen südamerikanischen Tänzer stellen ihr Verständnis und ihren Zugang zum Tango vor. Es werden konkrete Elemente dargestellt und geübt, und dabei auch der individuelle Ausdruck im Tanz besprochen. Ein reger Austausch, Interaktion und aktives tanzen sind das Ziel. Der erste Teil einer Einheit beschäftigt sich vor allem mit der Technik, der zweite mit Kombinationen und Improvisation.

Tangoparty am 18. Mai bei Stravaganza ...
Seit einigen Wochen lädt das bekannte Tangoduo Stravaganza am Freitagabend zu einer regelmäßigen, spannenden und gemütlichen Tangoparty zu sich auf den Dachboden ein. Am 18. Mai werden Judith Preuss y Constantin Rüger eine Show tanzen, und ich leite den Abend mit einer Practica ein.
