I was looking for "muchachos comienza la ronda" and found nothing so I thought it was because it was the alt name. In fact, "muchachos, comienza la ronda" finds it, so it's the comma. Could you make the search ignore punctuation, or also search on sub-words ?
- For the main name, an extra column, containing an harmonized name, exists for search. Same technique could be used for alternative names. Preferred is to avoid these search columns, and let the database software do it. Would need checking text search in MySQL.
- Search currently only does string comparison. The string must be contained. So one could search for comienza: https://tango.info/?q=comienza
- For search the alt name field needs splitting, since it can contain more than one alt name, separated by " | ".
