Tango activities started in Aix-en-Provence slightly later than in Marseille in early 1990's. In September 2008, two associations have some activities in Aix:

• Tango Del Sur
• El Compadrito

There are two main tango places in Aix-en-Provence, as known in September 2008:

 L'Expresso Café: 20, avenue Jules Ferry, 13100 Aix-en-Provence
Practica every 1st and 3rd Sunday afternoon, 17:30--22:30

 Country Club d'Aix-en-Provence:
Practica every Wednesday evening, 21:30--00:30
Milonga every last Sunday evening, 20:00--01:00

Summer Milongas (2009-07-05--2008-09-06)

• Place Richelme: every Sunday evening, 21:30 - 01:00

The summer milonga "Place Richelme" was created in 2001 by Guy W. on every Friday night in July and August. It was moved in 2005 on every Sunday night by Daniel A. and Benoit de Gentile.

• L'Expresso: every Tuesday evening, 20:00--24:00 (last event: 2009-08-18)

The summer milonga at L'Expresso was created in 2007 to test tango indoor in parallel with salsa outdoor, every Wednesday. Despite the success of this temptative, the summer milonga moved to Tuesday because outdoor salsa was too noisy for neighbours.
