Senatango Association has the great pleasure announcing the Fifth Edition of

International Festival of Argentine Tango by the sea in Senigallia 14th to 17th August 2008

4 Milonga Nights Great Tango Masters Numerous Lessons for all Levels Special Classes Argentine Folk dance Chacarera Happy Hours Typical Argentine Meal Argentine Tango Shoes Sea & Of Course Great Fun!

All the above will take place in a wonderful venue: The Finis Africae, a beautiful resort situated on the hills, equipped with large halls and splendid wooden floors.

The concept of this festival has been devised and created for us Tangueros; for us, who enjoy this magnificent dance. For us, who love to dance beautifully to fabulous music in good company. Therefore once again, the artists who will be with us are not only some of the greatest international dancers in the world of tango but are also exceptional masters who possess an incredible capacity to transmit the real essence of this beautiful “dance of embrace”

Thursday 14th August 20:30 Welcome buffet for the guest artists at the Country House Finis Arfircae 22:30 Welcome Milonga with all on the dance floor and an introduction to all festival activities with a selection of music by our Musicalizador Enzo Marchetti

Friday 15th August 20:00 Happy Hour! Sampling of grilled “choripan” and other specialities by the pool, accompanied by vino tinto and beer. 22:30 Milonga: Dancing until the early hours to live music performed by Orchestra Nuevo Tango Ensemble and musical selections by our Musicalizador Enzo Marchetti

Saturday 16th August 20:00 Happy Hour! Sampling of grilled “choripan” and other specialities by the pool, accompanied by vino tinto and beer. 22:30 Milonga: The Great Gala Night featuring performances by all the instructors with live music played by Orchestra Nuevo Tango Ensemble and musical selections by the great Felix Picherna for all to dance until day-light.

Sunday 17th August 21:00 Una noche folklorica! A typical Argentine dinner (empanadas, matambre, asado, papas, flan casero y vino tinto) with performances by Masters Claudio Cortejarena y Laura Rodriguez; we will immerse ourselves in the magical atmosphere of Argentina and its provinces, its perfumes and irresistible sounds of the chacarera. 22:30 Milonga di Despedida: Dance hasta romper los zapatos! Live performances of Argentine folk dance and chacarera by Masters Claudio Cortejarena and Laura Rodriguez. Musical selections by the great Felix Picherna.

Levels Level 1: between 6 months and 1 year of classes (a notion of the tango walk, rhythm, basics, abrazo, forward and backward ocho and forward cross) Level 2: between 1 and 2 years of classes (a good technique of all level 1 elements plus sacadas, boleos, giros, cambio de pie) Level 3: between 2 and 4 years of classes (a solid technique of level 1 and 2 elements plus notions of Figuras, Ganchos and colgadas, barridas, dynamics and musicality) Level 4: over 4 years of classes (a solid technique of all elements in level 1,2 and 3)
