CD rips can be cut. One common standard to compare length of files would be the trailing-leading silence free duration.
Example: El abrojo
- H. from CDex has 2:50
- D. from cover has 2:40,
- T. from Winamp has 2:53, music stops at 2:48, when playing - the last value Winamp shows is 2:52
- M. from LP transfer (silences trimmed) 2:38.62
Email: As far as I can see H.'s length for the other tracks on (https://tango.info/00731453340121) are 2 to 3 seconds longer than the ones from T., maybe due to ripping with silence vs ripping without silence. But el abrojo is shorter.
