Overview

This page intends to give an overview about musical works

• the creators of which died 70 or more years before the end of that past year and
• the applicable copyright term is 70 years.

According to Argentine ley 11723 text and music can be considered as separate works.

Authorship

The authorship of works registered with SADAIC can be looked up at (http://www.sadaic.org.ar). Another look-up service is http://iswcnet.cisac.org, where one can get the workcodes (ISWC) and the creatorIDs (IPI). The AGADU website also offers ISWC codes.

Year of death

Determination of the year of death can be done by asking a rights holding organisation (SADAIC, GEMA,...) use the website look-up, e.g. AGADU offers this.

Albums

There are two DyM CDs supposed to be GEMA-free, i.e. the tracks of which were thought to contain performances of musical works in public domain. On the first CD (dz3201 dz003201 00718750152121) three tracks are not free (7,9,14). The second (dz3202 dz003202 00718750152220 DYM | 2004 | 54 min. ) is 100% GEMA-free.
