'SENSE THE TANGO' RESIDENTIAL TANGO RETREAT

4-DAY RETREAT - 'ENHANCE YOUR DANCE' - 22-26 JUNE 2008

VENUE: GUNNEBAH RETREAT CENTRE, TWEED VALLEY, AUSTRALIA

Sense the Tango residential tango retreats combine these four elements:

1. Tango workshop sessions led by professional tango teacher, Sarah Bonnar

2. Extended dance topics, including kinaesthetic awareness, dance fitness and dance safety, providing you with the instruction and support you need to be the best dancer you can be.

3. The opportunity to leave the distractions and demands of your day-to-day life behind, focus on yourself, and indulge your desire to learn new skills.

4. A friendly, peaceful and relaxing environment, good food, and gentle, low-impact exercise to reinvigorate you.

If you are already dancing, whether it is Argentine Tango or any other dance style, then you will benefit from our longer residential tango retreats. These will be offered as four-day and full week retreats.

Residential Argentine Tango retreats give you the opportunity to look closely at every aspect of your dance, with full support from our team, and free from any other distraction.

We will build on your existing dance skills, no matter what dance styles you have already learned. If you are new to tango, you will soon appreciate tango as an expressive and spontaneous improvised dance, and as an extension of your body's natural movements.

Your teacher will be Sarah Bonnar. You will benefit from Sarah's extensive experience in dance over more than 20 years.

The retreats will develop dancers' strength and flexibility, and provide the opportunity for them to practice graceful and dynamic improvisation. The use of massage, stretching and exercise in maintaining dance fitness will be explored.
