Overview
A tango.info musical work, sometimes just called work, consists of a composition and optionally lyrics.
On most track pages a base work is given, which is the work believed to be
- the work for the track, or
- the earliest work in a chain of derivations ending with the work for the track
Since tango.info does not know how to determine for all tracks whether a difference in audio between two performances constitutes a new work, derived works are currently not listed in the database.

Notes
- Using "musical work" - That still fails to exclude performance... and arguably fails to include lyrics.
